In 1985, Damien Earl Matthias, p.k.a. E-Love,made his debut as a producer when he co-produced LL Cool J's first hit album, Radio, which went double platinum and earned E-Love Grammy, MTV, and multiple Soul Train Awards. In 1986, E-Love teamed up with LL again, producing the album Bigger 'N Deffer, which went triple platinum. The featured single, I'm Bad, won the American Music Awards' Song of the Year. Damien was also instrumental in launching the careers of Tupac Shakur and John Forte,  Damien has produced numerous music videos, including for the award-winning single I'm Goin' Back to Cali for LL Cool J, which he co-produced with Rick Rubin, Co-founder of Def Jam Records. Damien has also collaborated with Russell Simmons on developing a successful marketing plans for Def Jam Records.  Known by many as "E-Love," he generated thousands of fans around the world while touring with LL, Whodini, and other rising stars. In reality, Damien "E-Love" Matthias -with his keen eye for recognizing, developing, and marketing untapped talent - has helped create the foundation for today's Hip Hop music.  A noteworthy contributor to the entertainment business, Damien donates a portion of his production company's proceeds to the A. Craig Matthias Foundation, dedicated to supporting emerging filmmakers and creative "at risk" youth.
